It is no secret that we now live in a more environmentally conscious and eco friendly society. This is made evident by the amount of public awareness about going green, and the eco-friendly products that are now becoming available. But going green doesn’t just mean changing your driving habits and how much power you use, you can also be environmentally friendly by watching what you eat and drink.

Sharing alcoholic beverages with friends is something that many people do, it is become a normal part of weekend life. While there are many drink combinations available, most of them are not environmentally friendly. But there are some eco-drinks you can purchase that are great tasting and good for the environment.

You can purchase eco-friendly drinks from specialised stores or you can make them yourself. Common drinks include organic wine and beer. There have also been developments in spirits and you can now purchase organic vodka. Organic beverages are produced with the highest green standards, thus production of them will not harm the environment.

VeeV is an eco-friendly drink made from the Brazilian açaí berry and is an alcoholic beverage many people enjoy. You can use this as a substitute for Vodka and it is the first certified carbon-neutral company which donates $1 from every bottle sold to the Brazilian Rainforest conservation.

Choosing environmentally friendly drinks is important for yourself and the environment. The production of eco-drinks doesn’t produce greenhouse gases and drinking them will mean you are not consuming chemicals and toxins in your body.

Major metropolitan cities are working hard with environmental activists to find ways to help the environment, but also allow the alcoholic beverage consumption to continue. Finding ways to produce, store and consume green beverages will help ourselves and help preserve our natural landscape.
