AUSTRALIANS are prepared to go green this Christmas with a range of festive greeting cards.
Green associations are recommending Australians to go Green this summer with environmentally-friendly Christmas trees and other products for the festive period.
Planet Ark’s Brad Gray told the ABC:
“Buying a fake tree is perfectly good, as long as you’re going to buy one that lasts for a long time and you can use it for years and years,” Gray told the ABC.
“Buying a real tree is also pretty good, providing you can compost it or do something with it afterwards.
“The best solution to the Christmas tree dilemma is to actually use a real tree, a potted tree that you can actually decorate, put inside and then take it back outside to grow for another year.”
There are also recycled packages and envelopes for your Christmas cards and packages for friends and family overseas.
